初,始也;有起始、开端的意思。小学,除表面意义之外,对于尚在幼儿园的孩子而言,还有一个特定的含义,即作为新生来到学校,以班级为归依,大家一起学习知识,学习公共生活。孩子初次上幼儿园时的种种不舍情景仿佛还在眼前,转瞬间又迎来了下一个初次——小学,成长路上一道具有转折意义的风景线。它预示着孩子将告别以游戏为基本活动的“自由自主式”生活,向规则约束相对增强、有一定学业任务的“规范学习式”生活迈进。
