本文讨论普罗提诺对phantasia(也就是灵魂的想象官能)概念的使用。想象力在人死后离开肉体的灵魂中,在一定程度上保存了记忆,也就是自我意识。就此普罗提诺提出了两个层次的想象力,较低的想象力处理感觉材料,并且随着较低级的灵魂在死亡的时候一起消亡;而高级的想象力则处理来自更高级的灵魂(也就是理智)的概念,在死亡的时候依然和灵魂同在,并且给予灵魂意识。普罗提诺的前人没有过这样的理论,这个理论也被他的后继者(比如普罗克洛斯)否定,但是却反映了普罗提诺对自我本质的复杂而精微的关切。
This article discusses the use of the concept of phantasia (that is, the imagination of the soul). Imagination in the body after leaving the body of the soul, to a certain extent, save the memory, that is, self-awareness.
