天水地区所属渭河、西汉水、嘉陵江上游干、支流沿岸,日照充足,气候温暖,无霜期长,土地平坦,灌溉方便,具备中晚熟玉米生长的许多有利条件。但多年来玉米亩产一直在700斤左右徘徊。为了探讨这类地区中单二号春玉米亩产千斤的栽培技术,从1981—1983年先后进行了玉米丰产栽培试验、不同种植密度试验、氮磷肥配合比例试验和较大面积的生产示范。在15个点(次)的798.7亩丰产示范田中,有11个点的568.2亩亩产超过千斤。其中,
The Weihe River, the Western Han River and the upper reaches of the Jialing River in Tianshui are well-developed in the upper reaches of the Jialing River. There are plenty of sunshine along the tributaries, warm climate, long frost-free period, flat land and convenient irrigation and many favorable conditions for the growth of middle-late-maturing corn. However, over the years, corn yield has been hovering around 700 pounds.
