As an important part of the study of Chinese drama, overseas Chinese drama research has drawn increasing attention from Chinese people. The quantity and quality of the translation of the Chinese drama have been significantly improved. Overseas Chinese theater scholars, influenced by their familiarity with western theories and the application of the latest academic achievements, have conquered many readers in China and their influence should not be underestimated. As a brand new research paradigm, overseas Chinese drama studies have their unique perspectives and new methodological significances.
