我国著名心脏病学和老年医学专家、杰出的保健专家、一代名师,中国共产党党员,中国工程院院士,中国人民解放军总医院老年心血管病研究所所长,《实用老年医学》杂志副主编,教授、主任医师、博士研究生导师王士雯同志,因病医治无效,于2012年1月30日20时50分,在北京逝世,享年79岁。王士雯院士1933年1月26日出生于山东省峄县。1951年9月从南京大学医学院参军入伍,1956年到中国人民解放军总医院工作,先后担任老年心血管病研究所所长、医院专家组成员、全军老年心血管病研究所所长等职,专业技术一级,文职特级,享受政府特殊津贴,先后荣立个人一等功1次、二等功1次、三等功2次,被中共中央保健委员会授予特殊贡献奖,1996年当选为中国工程院院士,为国家和军队卫生事业的建设发展作出了重要贡献。
