鸟是人类的朋友。古往今来,许多名人倾之以诗,赞之以文,表达了爱鸟之情、护鸟之心。 李白一生特别喜欢鸟,尤其是白鸟,他爱之若子。在他的诗中,提及的白鸟就有10种之多,但他最喜欢的要数白鹇。天宝12年,李白游黄山,得知山民胡晖家养有一对白鹇,便愿出一双白璧来换取。胡公仰慕李白,割爱相赠,“唯求一诗”。李白欣然应允,提笔写了《赠黄山胡公求白鸥》一诗答谢:“请以双白壁,买君双白鹇。白鹇如白锦,白雪耻容颜……夜栖寒月静,朝步落花闲。我愿得此鸟,玩之坐碧山。胡公能辍赠,笼寄野人还。”诗中极力赞美白鹇的高洁纯美和超脱不凡,抒发了自己对白鹇“平生酷爱,竟莫能致,忽得胡公相赠,喜出望外”的兴奋心情。
