北京大学红楼,简称北大红楼,位于北京紫禁城东北角楼以东一箭之遥的沙滩,是1918年至1952年期间北京大学文学院所在地。1952年院系调整,北京大学迁到燕京大学校址办学,红楼作为北大教学区的功能不复存在。1961年,北大红楼被公布为全国重点文物保护单位被永久保留下来,以供后人瞻仰怀念。北大红楼,1916年开始建造,1918年竣工,因通体为红砖砌就,故称红楼。它位于民国时期北大校区的中心位置,以红楼为中心,
