皮影戏俗称灯影戏,是中国最古老的戏剧形式之一,源于两千多年前的中国古代长安,盛行于唐、宋。至今仍在中国民间普遍流行,堪称中国民间艺术一绝。皮影戏选用上等牛皮,经过刮、磨、洗、刻、着色等二十四道工序手工雕刻3000余刀而成。皮影戏的艺术创意汲取了中国汉代帛画、画像石、画像砖和唐、宋寺院壁画之手法与风格。皮影戏在老一辈印象中并不生疏,传统的木偶皮影戏多在农村演出。几根木榞,几根麻绳,几盏油灯,几张芦席,艺人们怀抱月琴演奏,同时还用绑在腿上的梆子击打着节奏,手里翻着已经发黄的没边没角的剧本而声情并茂、全神贯注地投入角色创造中。
Shadow play commonly known as the shadow play, is one of the oldest forms of drama in China, from more than two thousand years ago in ancient China Chang’an, prevailed in the Tang and Song Dynasties. It is still popular among Chinese folk and is a must for Chinese folk art. Shadow play selected fine cowhide, after scraping, grinding, washing, carving, coloring and other hand-carved twenty-four procedures made more than 3000 knives. The artistic creation of shadow play draws on the techniques and styles of mural paintings, portrait stone, portrait brick, and murals of Tang and Song monasteries in Han Dynasty in China.
