Florida Phosphate Research Institute (FIPR) is an independent research institute in Florida. Founded in 1978, its mission is to conduct research that will improve the competitiveness of the phosphate industry in Florida. The hospital also conducts research on preventing, reducing and eliminating the environmental impact of such industries. It also assists in the training of phosphate-related technologies and theories. The process research program explores how to improve the open pit and pipeline transportation to reduce the energy costs for pumping phosphate ore. A new and improved method of beneficiation and a method of producing fertilizers have been developed. Including new processing flow
