孟诜(音shen),唐代医家,汝州(今河南汝南一带)梁人,生于唐高宗武德四年,卒于玄宗开元元年,享年93岁。曾做过舍人、侍郎、司马和侍读。孟氏因议论朝政遭贬,弃官归里从事药物研究。著《食疗本草》三卷。现存于敦煌莫高窟所发现的古抄本残卷。原卷于1907年英人史太因从甘肃敦煌千佛洞带走,藏入英国博物馆中,后经日本人中尾考据发表。孟氏还撰有《必效方》、《补养方》、《外台秘要》、《医心方》、《证类本草》等书。孟氏师承孙思邈,颇得其师养
Meng Xie (shenzhen), a physician of the Tang Dynasty, and a man of Liangzhou (currently in the south of Henan Province), was born in Tang Gaozong Wude four years ago and died in the first year of Xuanzong Kaiyuan at the age of 93.
