With the deepening of research, the neutron activation analysis technique has been widely used in the elemental analysis in all fields and has become an irreplaceable analytical technique. Neutron activation analysis is one of the important applications of research reactors. China Advanced Research Reactor (CARR) at full capacity of 60 MW, in March 2012 reached its first full-power operation, the main technical indicators and performance to reach the current world advanced research reactor level. As a multi-purpose, high-performance research reactor, China Advanced Research Reactor plans to build a neutron activation analysis platform.
