Objective To investigate the expression of IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α and IL-1β in brain tissue of IUGR-restricted fetal rats and to explore the effect of taurine supplementation on the expression of IL-1 in pregnant rats and its clinical significance. Methods Fifteen pregnant rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: normal control group, IUGR group, IUGR supplemented taurine group [300mg / (kg · d)] (taurine group). The levels of IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α and IL-1β in brain tissue of three groups were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results The contents of IL-6 in brain tissue of control group, IUGR group and taurine group were (81.070 ± 5.286) pmol / L, (148.362 ± 18.733) pmol / L and (107.361 ± 11.184) pmol / L respectively (90.573 ± 7.344) pmol / L, (165.596 ± 8.635) pmol / L and (126.309 ± 11.008), respectively. There was a significant difference between the two groups (8.231 ± 0.607) pmol / L, (14.881 ± 0.703) pmol / L, and the difference was statistically significant (H = 45.910, P = 0.00) (11.709 ± 0.936) pmol / L, the difference was statistically significant (H = 45.929, P = 0.00). The content of IL-1β in the brain tissue of the three groups was (46.693 ± 4.122) pmol / L, (84.799 ± 4.315 ) pmol / L and (62.407 ± 4.631) pmol / L, respectively. The difference was statistically significant (H = 46.064, P = 0.00). Conclusion Supplementation of taurine in pregnant rats can reduce the expression of IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α and IL-1β in IUGR fetal rat brain tissue.
