1992年国际减灾日的主题是“减轻自然灾害与持续发展”。持续发展是当今世界各国所面临的一个共同性问题。人类已越来越深刻地认识到经济与社会必须协调发展,人类与自然必须和谐相处。减轻自然灾害已成为实现持续发展目标的迫切任务之一,并已成为全球性的联合行动。依靠科技进步,减轻自然灾害,促进持续发展是今后一项重要任务。
The theme of International Day for Disaster Reduction in 1992 was “Mitigation of Natural Disasters and Sustainable Development”. Sustained development is a common problem faced by all countries in the world today. Human beings have realized more and more profoundly that economic and social development must be coordinated and that mankind and nature must live in harmony. Mitigating natural disasters has become one of the urgent tasks of achieving the goal of sustainable development and has become a global joint operation. Relying on scientific and technological progress, alleviating natural disasters and promoting sustainable development are an important task for the future.
