什么是管理学?管理是一门学科,这首先就意味着,管理人员付诸实践的是管理学而不是经济学,不是计量方法,不是行为科学。无论是经济学、计量方法还是行为科学都只是管理人员的工具。但是,管理人员付诸实践的并不是经济学,正好像一个医生付诸实践的并不是验血那样。管理人员付诸实践的并不是行为科学,正好像一位生物学家付诸实践的并不是显微镜那样。管理人员付诸实践的并不是计量方法,正好像一位律师付诸实践的并不是判例那样。管理人员付诸实践的是管理学。
What is management? Management is a discipline, which first of all means that managers are putting management into practice rather than economics, not measurement, not behavioral science. Neither economics, norms, nor behavioral science are just tools for managers. However, management is not putting economics into practice, just as a doctor does not practice blood tests. It is not behavior science that managers put into practice, just as a biologist does not practice in a microscope. It is not the case that a lawyer put into practice just as the manager does not put into practice. Managers put into practice is management.
