辽宁省章古台从 1994年开始引种铅笔柏 ,进行育苗与造林试验。试验结果认为 ,铅笔柏种子处理需要从 1月下旬至 4月下旬 ,约 90d时间 ,发芽率较高 ;而从 3月中旬至 4月中旬开始处理的种子 ,因经过低温阶段时间短 ,故发芽率较低 ;铅笔柏越冬干梢与种源关系很大 ,美国南达科他州种源基本不受冻害 ,而安徽种源干梢较重 ,不宜直接引种 ;该树种在水肥充足条件下生长很快 ,4年生苗高达 1.0 5m
