世纪之交,新年伊始。省九届人大三次会议于元月22日在昆明召开。肩负着全省4200万各族人民的重托,630名人大代表认真审查《政府工作报告》。紧紧抓住历史机遇,全面实施西部大开发,成为代表们的热门话题之一。李嘉廷省长在《政府工作报告》中指出:“根据省委的要求,我们要把建设‘绿色经济强省’、‘民族文化大省’和‘中国连接东南亚、南亚的国际大通道’,作为云南实施西部大开发战略的主要目标和重点工作抓紧抓好。”围绕这个问题,代表们各抒己见,有认识、有建议、有感慨,更有干一番事业的强烈愿望。
