栗瘤蜂为板栗的主要害虫。在一般自然状态下,栗瘤蜂在我县并非年年为害成灾,它的发生具有比较明显的周期性。如青山口、新立庄等大队栗农反映,该虫1941年在迁西曾普遍发生,造成1941—1942年板栗大幅度减产。1959—1961年和1978年,又先后再次大发生。 近年来,我县各地栗瘤蜂都有不同程度的发生,严重地影响栗树的正常生长和发育。现将1979—1980年的调查研究结果整理如下:
