明清肖像画,是我国明清人物画的重要组成部分,经过近700余年的历史积累,留下了大量的优秀作品。在各种肖像画的制作中,群体肖像画制作日益占据重要的地位,出现了诸多杰出的群体肖像画(或称组画式肖像)作品,如谢环的《杏园雅集图》、曾鲸的《牛首八十一祖像》《娄东十老图》(南京博物院藏)等,都是明清群体肖像画的著名典范。尤其是曾鲸的再传弟子、沈韶的学生徐璋,终其一生心力创作的群体肖像《松江邦彦画像册》,更是明清时期杰出的群体肖像人物组画作品。
