我中队在钻探施工中，遇到一种覆盖粘土达百米以上的地层，在这类地层中，起拔套管困难，并花费大量时间，例如有一个钻孔，施工时间98天，而起拔套管的时间竟达108天之多。后来在一个钻孔中为起拔102米φ146毫米套管，历时半月，基台木顶断三根无效。为了解决这个问题，采取紧贴套管用φ89毫米钻具打一小钻孔，开足泵量冲孔，经二个大班顺利的取出套管。又在另一个钻孔中，为起拔147米φ146毫米套管历时25天无效，仍紧贴套管采用φ108毫米钻具打小钻孔办法，经五个大班又顺利的取出套管。此后又应用几次，效果均较好。
