“Du Lian” tu ~ (31) le (?) ~ (33), is a branch of the Jingpo ethnic group (meaning “Shanqi official”), from Doran’s self-proclamation. There are about 20,000 people who use such words, mainly in Grape County in the northern Kachin State of Myanmar. In recent years, many people have migrated to settle in Myitkyina, Myanmar. Dulian dialect is closely related to the Jingpo Eun Kun dialect within China’s territory (Enkhun dialect is mainly distributed in Tongbweiguan, Yingjiang County, Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan Province). This article describes the grape County Muqiang Polaris Du Lian dialect. The materials used by the author went to Myitkyina, Kachin, Myanmar from November to December 2004.
