北京天坛内的神乐署始建于明永乐十八年(1420年),是管理祭天时演奏古乐的机构。明代称神乐观,清乾隆八年(1743年)改称神乐所,乾隆二十年(1755年)又改称为神乐署。1900年八国联军占据为兵站,此后林艺试验场、燕乐研究院、传染病医院、中央防疫处、生物制作所等机构先后占用此地作为办公地点。1937年,日军西村部队(1855部队)将司令部设在署中,并在这里进行细菌战的实验与研究。
The sacred music hall in Beijing’s Tiantan was built in Ming Yongle for eighteen years (1420) and is the institution that manages ancient music during the sacrificial day. Ming said God optimistic, eight years of Qing Emperor Qianlong (1743) was renamed the Kagura, Qianlong twenty years (1755) and renamed the God music department. In 1900 the Eight-Power Allied Forces occupied the station, after which, Linyi Experimental Field, Yanle Research Institute, Infectious Diseases Hospital, Central Epidemic Prevention Department, Biological Production Institute and other agencies took this place as the office. In 1937, the Japanese Nishimura Forces (1855 units) set up their headquarters in the Department and carried out experimental and research on the germ warfare here.
