猝死是指心脏突然、意外地停止跳动而死亡。美国每年猝死人数约有40万,其中80%是缺血性心脏病所致。大部分猝死患者在死亡前已有心血管疾病的症状和体征,20～25%的病例无先兆性心脏骤停而死亡。大多数是中年以上的男性在日常生活中突然发病,一般认为,大部猝死是因心室纤颤引起。
Sudden death refers to sudden cardiac arrest, accidental stop beating and death. The annual number of sudden deaths in the United States is about 400,000, of which 80% is caused by ischemic heart disease. Most patients with sudden death already have symptoms and signs of cardiovascular disease before they die, and 20 to 25% of them die without a cardiac arrest. Most men are middle-aged sudden onset of daily life, is generally believed that the majority of sudden death is due to ventricular fibrillation.
