B-ISDN作为多媒体通信的基础结构,必须具备实时网络管理功能,以便即使在网络故障或异常过载时,网络质量也不会急剧下降。以ATM为基础的B-ISDN处理各类业务量时需要有新的实时网络管理功能,以取代现有基于STM电话网或N-ISDN的网管功能。另外,ATM技术还可控制用STM技术难以实现的网络控制方式。本文从B-ISDN的分层结构出发,提出以ATM为基础的B-ISDN实时网管体制及具体实施的关键技术。
As an infrastructure for multimedia communications, B-ISDN must have real-time network management capabilities so that network quality does not drop dramatically even in the event of a network failure or abnormal overload. ATM-based B-ISDN requires a new real-time network management function for handling various types of traffic to replace the existing network management functions based on STM telephone network or N-ISDN. In addition, ATM technology can also control network control methods that are difficult to achieve with STM technology. Based on the hierarchical structure of B-ISDN, this paper proposes an ATM-based B-ISDN real-time network management system and its key technologies.
