Influenza virus infection remains the most common cause of medical concern for respiratory diseases, mainly because these various, rapidly mutating and unpredictable viruses can cause illness many times throughout a person’s life. Alexander Lanzrnuir points out that the flu pandemic has been a very important, serious and intractable health problem since 1957, and flu control is not as satisfying for epidemiologists as polio. Little progress has been made so far in the prevention and control of influenza, although significant progress has been made in understanding the structure and replication of influenza viruses, the immunology and epidemiology of influenza and in understanding effective inactivated influenza vaccines and antiviral drugs .
