This article describes an automatic call transponder implemented with the MCS-48 family of microcontrollers introduced by Intel Corporation of the United States. It is based on the new V.25bis proposal adopted by CCITT in late 1984. When used to transmit data over a regular switched telephone network, data connections are established between data terminal equipment (DTEs). This type of automatic call transponder uses the 100 series interface line as specified in Recommendation V.24 as an interface with the data terminal equipment to exchange information with the data terminal equipment in the form of an instruction; its call operation is a serial automatic call, and With automatic call auto-answer, automatic call manual response and manual calls automatically answer a number of features.
