我国的民间音乐,有着光辉久远的历史,在世界艺术宝库中居有特殊地位。特别是民间锣鼓,由于数千年的积蕴,品类繁多,风格迥异,可谓异彩纷呈。但是不少民间锣鼓,长期以来,很少有人有目的地去了解认识它,更谈不上利用和借鉴了。禹州西部顺店镇大锣鼓乐就属此类。为了弘扬民族音乐文化,使这一传统民间音乐艺术更好地为人民服务,为社会主义服务,笔者将近来学习与研究顺店镇大锣鼓乐的一些粗浅认识和体会,简述于此,以求教于前辈与同行好友。
