Hypoxia is an important feature of the tumor microenvironment. Hypoxic environment plays an important role in the changes of many biological behaviors, including tumor cell proliferation and apoptosis, neovascularization, metabolism, autophagy, invasion and metastasis. MicroRNAs, a type of endogenous single-chain non-coding RNA fragment of 19-24 nt in length, bind to the 3’-untranslated region of target mRNA and regulates gene expression in a manner that regulates mRNA translation, leading to hypoxia-induced tumor biological behavior Change the important regulatory factors. This review summarizes the regulatory mechanisms of microRNAs in the changes of tumor biology under hypoxic conditions.
