世界上的作家是形形色色的,因而便有了各式各样的小说;人类的社会有古代、近代、当代的巨大区别,各国不同历史时期的小说便也有明显的历史特征。人类社会的进程加快了,往往每隔十几年就发生今非昔比的变化,遂使小说的流派变化也万象纷呈。而洲与洲之间,国与国之间,即使以同一历史时代甚至同一时代而言,由于各自现状的不同,导致小说以及总体的文艺、文化从内容到形式仍无法同日而语。
All kinds of writers in the world have all kinds of stories, so they have all kinds of novels. There are ancient, modern and contemporary great differences in human society. Novels of different historical periods in different countries also have obvious historical features. The process of human society has accelerated.
