他,没有出生入死的英雄壮举,没有吃过“皇粮”,更没有出入官场的经历。但他很有名气,在当地只要提起他的名字,从市、县领导到乡村干部群众,没有不知道他的,也没有不夸赞他的。近几年,他接连当选为新邵县工商联兼职副主任、新邵县政协常委、湖南省工商联常委。1994年5月被共青团中央、全国工商总局、全国个体劳动者协会授予“全国先进青年个体劳动者”光荣称号,1995年3月又被共青团中央授予“全国新长征突击手”光荣称号,出席了在北京召开的表彰会。他,就是湖南省新邵县迎光乡狮塘村青年农民、个体安装企业主张化平。
