一九八一年七月我随总局赴美国花旗参考察组考察美国花旗参的生产,现就一些情况简单介绍于后:美国花旗参早期是采自野生,从1820年开始开展人工种植。目前种植面积约1200—1300英亩(注:1英亩=6.07市亩),而威斯康星州约占全国种植面积的90%。野生花旗参主要分布在马里兰、威斯康星、肯塔基、田纳西州等。美国花旗参95%是供出口,主销日本、香港及东南亚各国。据统计,1969—1971年平均年产量158,980磅(注:1磅=0.907市斤),以后增至25万磅,1980年达32万磅,其中家种的占75%,野生的25%。单位面积产量因各地而异,东北部的纽约、威斯康星州每英亩约产干参2500—3200磅;中部的密苏里肯踏基约2000—2500磅;中南部的田那西州有高
In July 1981 I went to the United States with the headquarters of the American ginseng inspection team to inspect the production of American ginseng, now on some brief introduction later: American ginseng was collected from the wild early, from 1820 began planting.
