近30年来我国的经济繁荣举世瞩目,GDP年均增长9.4%,2004年GDP排名世界第七,贸易排名世界第三,外汇储备世界第二……令人兴奋的数字不胜枚举。而另一方面,虽已高度重视并采取了一定措施,但环境恶化的趋势和资源消耗速度并未得到遏制。2004年我国二氧化硫排放量排名世界第一,二氧化碳排放量世界第二,煤炭产量和消费量均为世界第一,石油进口仅次于美国……令人担忧的数据不断增多。
The economic prosperity of our country has drawn worldwide attention in the past 30 years, with an average annual GDP growth of 9.4%. In 2004, GDP ranked the seventh in the world, the third in the world in trade, and the second in the world in foreign exchange reserves. The exciting figures are numerous. On the other hand, although we have attached great importance and taken certain measures, the trend of environmental deterioration and the rate of resource consumption have not been checked. China’s sulfur dioxide emissions in 2004 ranked first in the world, the world’s second largest carbon dioxide emissions, coal production and consumption are the world’s first oil imports second only to the United States ... ... worrying data continue to increase.
