2003年12月18-19日,中国译协对外传播翻译委员会英文小组在北京举行例行学术研讨会,来自外交部、新华社、中国外文局、中央编译局、中国国际广播电台、对外经济贸易大学等外事、新闻及外宣部门的专家学者参加了此次会议。会议中心议题是讨论十六大报告及经贸领域的汉语新词及疑难词语的英译问题。此次会议最后达成共识的部分新词语对照英译文会在以后的《中国翻译》“汉英时事政经词语选登”栏目刊出。
On December 18-19, 2003, the English team of the Chinese Translators Association for Foreign Affairs Translation Committee held routine academic symposiums in Beijing from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Xinhua News Agency, the Chinese Bureau of Foreign Languages, the Central Bureau of Translation and Interpretation, China Radio International, foreign economic relations and trade Foreign experts such as universities and foreign experts and scholars from the press and publicity departments attended the conference. The conference center’s topic is to discuss the report of the 16th CPC National Congress and the translation of Chinese neologisms and difficult words in the field of economy and trade. Some of the new terminology contrastively translated to English at the last meeting of the conference will be published later in the section “China Translation” and “Selected Works of Chinese Current Affairs and Politics”.
