March 1989 World Wide Web In Geneva, the CERN Physics Laboratory was created to help physicists around the world collaborate on research projects. April 1994 Netscape Communications Inc. was established and is the developer of the most widely used Internet browser today. CommerceNet also set up. It is a consortium based in California that promotes business activities on the Internet.
