露塘农场七队有甜橙1097亩,主要品种是柳橙和新会橙,80年产橙果331.4万斤,平均亩产3021.3斤,创该队历年最高纪录。该队对甜橙管理的主要技术措施有以下几条:第一,进行夏剪,培育健壮的结果母枝6月中旬至7月上旬,对甜橙进行夏剪(也叫修剪放梢),主要是剪除纤弱枝、落花落果枝、秃枝、枯枝、病枝。一般10—15年生长正常的植株要求剪250—350个剪口,并均匀分布在树冠的内外及上中下各部位。
