For a long time, Casas was recognized as the most outstanding string player. He melodiously combines wonderful sounds with techniques that make his performance noticeable and salient. However, despite many innovations in performance skills, it has become a model for cello performance today, but his opinion on pitch problems may not be accepted by all. Casas is a great teacher. Between 1950 and 1951, I studied with him in Prader, France. Like treating all of his students, he taught me what I wanted to learn at the time.
