奇唇兰为兰科奇唇兰属植物。其丛生的假鳞茎具有一个节间,老时有皱纹。花序长而下垂,有花1~3朵或5~8朵,花肉质,大型,花色多变,黄色、白色或紫红色,带有密集的色斑点或斑纹。花径9~20cm,花萼与花瓣形同鸟翼,并具有斑点或斑块。唇瓣明显分上中下三部分,与蕊柱面对面生长。蕊柱较长舟形或棍棒形,与唇瓣相对。大多在夏天开花,花期短,仅3~5天。
Odd blue orchids are Orchidaceae. Its cluster of pseudobulbs has a node, old wrinkles. Inflorescence long and drooping, with flowers 1 to 3 or 5 to 8, flower succulent, large, changing color, yellow, white or purple, with dense spots or markings. Flower diameter 9 ~ 20cm, calyx and petals with the same bird’s wing, and with spots or plaque. The labial points are clearly divided into three parts, growing face-to-face with pilasters. Pillar longer boat-shaped or stick-shaped, and lip opposite. Most flowering in the summer, flowering short, only 3 to 5 days.
