文化语境是语境中影响交际话语语义理解的主要因素。英汉两种文化在长期的历史发展过程中形成了各具特色的社会习俗、社会规范和价值观念,可以说不同的语言就是不同文化的反映。汉、英两种语言中都带有鲜明的文化特征,在交际的过程中,文化语境对跨文化交际的双方的话语理解起着至关重要的作用。正确把握文化语境对交际话语语义理解的影响是实现成功的英汉交际的前提条件和重要保障。
Cultural context is the main factor that affects the semantic understanding of communicative discourse in context. Both cultures of English and Chinese have formed distinctive social customs, social norms and values in the course of long-term historical development. It can be said that different languages are the reflection of different cultures. Both Chinese and English have distinctive cultural features. In the process of communication, cultural context plays an important role in the discourse understanding of both sides of intercultural communication. Correctly grasping the influence of cultural context on the semantic understanding of communicative discourse is a prerequisite and an important guarantee for successful English-Chinese communication.
