High resistivity is one of the key specifications of winding materials used in high accuracy wirewound potentiometers and similar devices. It is also an important indicator of strained and highly-demanded electric materials. Although these materials appeal to people more and more, however, their design, like many other alloys, is still at the experimental stage. In order to push it to a higher level, the authors found that the high resistance of the alloy is related to the crystal structure of the alloying component through the existing gold base and the statistical analysis of the base high-resistance alloy. And made some explanations on the existing gold base and the high resistance alloy such as Parker. Some of the new noble metal high resistance alloys that are likely to be forthcoming are also counted. And pointed out that the above conclusion also applies to base metal-based existing high-resistance alloys.
