中国老年大学是我国改革开放的大背景下出现的一个新生事物。它从诞生那天起,就得到了党和国家的高度重视和关怀。从党和国家领导人到各级党委、政府都非常关心和支持老年大学的办学工作,在政策、法律、财力、物力等方面扶持这项事业的发展,这激励着广大老年教育工作者开拓创新,不断进取,使得我国的老年教育事业迅猛发展。
