In order to give full play to the advantages of broadcasting, Shanghai People’s Broadcasting Station has further stepped up the relationship between radio and audiences and deeply intervened in the fields of ideological, material and spiritual life of the audience and planned to further expand the 990-kilohertz into news broadcasting Dedicated frequency, broadcast news programs all day, breaking the geographical concept, expanding the amount of information in the news, improve the timeliness of the news, to provide listeners with more domestic and foreign news information. The frequency of 1197 kilohertz is dedicated to Shanghai Economic Information Broadcasting and is broadcast throughout the day. It focuses on all kinds of economic information in Shanghai and the economic zone as well as in the whole country. It serves as a platform for urban reform and the building of the four modernizations and for all walks of life.
