According to the instructions of Minister Qian Zhengying, the Sediment Specialized Committee of China Water Conservancy Society and the Yellow River Conservancy Commission held a seminar on the recent changes of water and sediment in the middle reaches of the Yellow River in Zhengzhou from June 24 to June 27, 1986. Attending the meeting were 44 representatives from 22 units including China Water Conservancy Society, Ministry of Water Resources and Hydropower Research, Water Resources and Hydropower Research Institute, Water Resources and Hydropower Planning and Design Institute and Yellow River Committee, Xu Qiangqing, Deputy Chief Engineer of Ministry of Water Resources, Xie Jianheng, director of the committee, director of the Yellow Committee Gong Shiyi attended the meeting. The conference received a total of 23 academic papers and analysis reports, delegates right
