油漆的功用与人的衣服一样,既有保护作用,又可作为装饰,所有人们用的器物,表面无论大小,几乎都要用油漆来保护,以免风雨的侵蚀,至于美观也是人们天然的喜好。因为油漆的用途太广了,所以种类也特别多。讲到油漆中的组成物质,主要的有五种:(一)颜料颜色是不溶于水及油,不透明的着色固体物,粒子非常细,大多是经过研磨而制成的。颜料有红、黄、蓝、白、黑五种颜色,由这五种便可以配出其它各种的颜色:(1)白色颜料有铅白,即铅粉(非金属铅的粉末,是一种商业名词),它的化学分子式是:
