本刊编辑部和黄山日报社于8月21日至27日在安徽省黄山市联合召开了“搞好经济报道研讨会”。国家体改委、国务院研究室有关部门的负责同志和人民日报主管经济报道的副总编辑及部门负责人应邀讲课。全国29个省、市、自治区120多家新闻单位的同志就当前经济形势和经济体制改革的前景,解放思想增强改革开放意识、农村经济报道、市场经济报道、对外经济报道等问题,进行了探讨和交流。不少代表提交了论文,本刊将予以选登。
