今年是我校的教育质量年 ,在校党委统一部署下 ,全校上下认真学习有关文件 ,领会江泽民同志“努力办好各级各类职业技术教育是一篇大文章”的指示精神 ,展开了高职教育大讨论。就学校的发展定位、学科建设、专业设置、培养目标、学生管理等方面总结 18年的办学经验 ,肯定成绩、找出差距、弥补不足。通过讨论 ,提高了认识 ,明确了方向 ,更深刻地理解了“三服务两育人”的丰富内涵 ,教育教学质量是学校常抓不懈的重要工作。教育部部长陈至立在全国职业教育工作会议上讲话指出 :“西部职业教育的发展对于实施西部大开发战略至关重要。要采取切实措施 ,对西部地区骨干职业学校建设、师资培训给予支持。”我校是全疆成立最早的以培养技术应用型人才为主的高职院校 ,建校 18年 ,共为地方经济建设培养了上万名毕业生 ,1999年被中国高等职业教育研究会誉为“西北高职教育明珠 ,独具特色的育人摇篮”的称号。在跨入新世纪 ,我校如何才能在全疆职业技术教育领域占据领先优势 ,需要我们再认识与理性思考。本刊编辑部从这场大讨论中收集了 2 0篇文章 ,在今年第3、4两期学报上全文或摘要登载。我们希望能有更多的人来关心支持这场讨论和学校的发展。教育质量年虽然即将过去 ,但学校的中心工作将一直以教育教学质量为?
