《约翰诺》是戴维.马洛夫的第一部流亡主题小说。小说主人公约翰诺代表了那些来到新大陆、远离英帝国中心的澳大利亚移民。与生俱来的民族身份感的缺失使他的内心充斥着强烈的流亡意识和重新确立自身民族身份的渴望。本文从“强烈的流亡意识和民族身份不确定性的焦虑”、“流亡意识的加剧和梦幻泡影般的寻根之旅”以及“毁灭与重生的两种选择向度”三个层面来解析这部作品中的流亡意识和民族身份认同。最后,文章尝试揭示这部作品本身所蕴涵的积极意义和重要价值。
Johnny is David Malof’s first exile novel. The novel’s protagonist, John Connor, represents Australian immigrants who came to the New World, away from the center of the British Empire. The innate loss of national identity has filled his heart with a strong sense of exile and a desire to re-establish one’s own national identity. This article from the “strong sense of exile and national identity uncertainty anxiety ”, “exacerbation of exile and dreamlike bubble-like journey to seek ” and “two kinds of choice of destruction and rebirth ” three Level to analyze the exile in this work and national identity. Finally, the article tries to reveal the positive meaning and the important value implied by this work itself.
