经中国地质学会批准，探矿工程专业委员会已经正式重建，共由三十五位委员组成，拟于今冬召开探矿工程专业委员会恢复、扩建会议，并同时举行七九年学术年会，选举正付主任委员，讨论学会活动计划，研究组建基层分会，并进行学术交流，宣读一批近几年来国内探矿工程生产和科研方面新成就的学术论文。
With the approval of the Geological Society of China, the Prospecting Engineering Professional Committee has been formally rebuilt with a total of 35 members. It is proposed to convene the Reconstruction and Expansion Conference of Prospecting Engineering Special Committees this winter and hold concurrently the 1979 academic annual meeting and the election regular director Committee members to discuss the plan of the academic activities, establish and study grassroots branch exchanges and carry out academic exchanges and read out a batch of new academic papers on the achievements and research in prospecting engineering in China in recent years.
