早在1992年4月,戴月琴就凭一头秀丽的长发,一举攀上上海大世界吉尼斯大奖赛长发总量的擂主地位,捧回了“中国第一长发女”桂冠。1995年,又荣获浙江省“丽花丝宝”长发比赛第一名,取得了终生免费使用该公司生产的洗发液这一特殊待遇。1997年香港回归之际,广州旅游公司赴香港参加花车游行,以戴月琴“长发蛇女” 为主题的花车,又获得了第一名。
