随着宽带多媒体业务市场需求增大，各类数据通信业务应用与网络带宽不足的矛盾日益突出，加快建设省级宽带多媒体通信网十分迫切。本文从介绍宽带多媒体通信业务应用状况入手，阐述了省级宽带网适应业务发展需求的建设重点领域，提出了以ATM宽带网和IP网发展方面的若干方面。
As the market demand for broadband multimedia services increases, the contradiction between various types of data communication service applications and network bandwidth shortage has become increasingly prominent. It is urgent to speed up the construction of provincial broadband multimedia communication networks. This article starts with the introduction of the application status of broadband multimedia communication service, elaborates the key areas for the construction of provincial broadband network to meet the demand of service development, and puts forward some aspects in terms of the development of ATM broadband network and IP network.
