磨削砂轮的制造者和使用者都很关心金属修磨砂轮磨损问题,本文在实验室以不同的砂轮、不同的磨削压力及钢种初步的研究了砂轮的磨损机理,从试验研究得知:棕刚玉磨料的砂轮主要是破碎磨损,应采用高韧性的锆刚玉磨料;磨料表面有微细剥蚀及金属粘附,可采用微晶刚玉或烧结刚玉来减少微细剥蚀;砂轮表层磨粒脱落由于磨粒表面与结合剂开裂或结合剂在磨削温度作用下结合强度不足而引起,可采用磨料表面处理,磨料及结合剂热膨胀系数相等及研制高强结合剂以提高高温下的结合强度,通过上述措施可以提高现有砂轮磨削比。
