The authors used leukotriene (99m) technetium-hexamethyldipropanolamin-oxime to detect the leukocyte infiltration during brain ischemia by single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) technique. A total of 22 hemispheric ischemic stroke patients (19 acute, 3 chronic) were examined. Results There was no leukocyte infiltration in 3 cases of chronic hemispheric ischemic stroke.
